super tasty!

I bought this after realizing coffee was having a negative effect on me and I needed something to replace that morning routine. My local cafe also carries this tea so I was super excited to find it for sale here. I'm still very new to the world of tea but I'm a big fan of oolong in general and this was perfect for me. Just a little bit sweet, and not bitter at all.

A Favorite!

I am so grateful to be able to purchase samples before buying in bulk. I ordered many tea samples, and the Iron Goddess was, by far, one of my most favorite. It has a smoky aroma and flavor on the senses that is absolutely wonderful.

Metallic taste

I was hoping for a better taste from this tea, the sweetness was faintly perceived but the metallic taste surpassed it. I will try others next time since my second ordered which was the pu-erh had significant better taste!

Hi Andrea! Thank you for taking the time to review our Iron Goddess Oolong. We're sorry this tea wasn't as satisfying as our Pu'erh, Organic for you! One of our customer service representatives will be reaching out soon to see how we can help.

Was hoping for better

I am grateful to Teaspot for offering the purchase of samples. I really wanted to like it and actually tried it in three separate sittings--because sometimes my nose is off due to allergies, or whatnot. But there is simply nothing indicating a good tieguanyin there--almost no aftertaste at all, none of the rich grassy undertones or even a shred of floral or fruity overtones. Just the barest hint of tieguanyin flavor--two stars for that. I don't often throw a tea out--but there has to be something to make it worth brewing one up for a sitting, and this one didn't have it. Something interesting--the tea was rolled more tightly than any I've encountered. In my third sitting I steeped it longer than I usually do a tieguanyin because it takes so long for the leaves to unfurl.
