Keeping it Cool with Cold Infusions and Snowshoes!

The Tea Spot was very proud and honored to donate loose leaf tea and Steepware to the Susan G. Komen Colorado Snowshoe for the Cure as part of our 10% Pledge, in which we donate 10% of all sales in-kind to cancer and community wellness programs. We’ve been long time admirers of this organization, and jumped at the chance to not only donate some of our products to all 1700 participants, but also participate ourselves!

Cold infusions and snowshoes

We arrived in Frisco, CO bright and early on March 4th and strapped on our snowshoes to march with men and women to support Susan G Komen’s mission of research, education, treatment, and screening of breast cancer. It was a bluebird day and we happily sipped our tea while trekking around the Frisco Nordic Center.

It was wonderful to see the participants’ reactions towards our donation – a cold brew tea kit featuring a Steep and Go and one of each of our Cold Infusions. Showing people how easy it is to make a healthy beverage is always a treat, and seeing people enjoy our tea makes our hard work worth it for everyone on our team.

The attitude and generous spirit of the crowd made us proud to support this event and spread the word about the goodness of whole leaf tea. The enthusiasm of the crowd is demonstrated in the $90,000 they raised to support the at-risk, underserved and uninsured women and men across Komen Colorado’s region.

Since we’re firm believers over here that Cancer Hates Tea, we were stoked to help our local community at large with cancer fighting efforts and be part of this larger movement. #CancerHatesTea
