Our Top Donations of 2019

Teas

Our company's founder is a cancer fighter, drawn to tea for its reputed health benefits during her recovery. In support of our mission to promote health, wellness and happiness through tea, we donate 10% of all profits in-kind to cancer survivors and community wellness. Each year we compile our top donation recipients to highlight the hard work and education that they're bringing into the community.

Susan G. Komen of Colorado

Susan G. Komen foundation was founded in 1982 and is the largest breast-cancer organization in the country. Founder, Nancy G. Brinker promised her sister Susan Komen that she would do everything possible to end breast cancer. Through their hard work, sheer determination, and passion for cancer research and education, they've managed to reduce deaths from breast cancer by over 40%. We were given the opportunity to not only participate in the race but to donate 1,200 of our Natural Glow sachets to the goodie bags of the participants.

National Breast Cancer Foundation

From their website, "The National Breast Cancer Foundation's mission is to help women now by providing help and inspiring hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services." True to their mission, the NBCF Hope Kits are filled with items that are comforting to patients going through treatment. Not only are the Hope Kits encouraging, but they allow patients to have a self-care moment in the midst of a stressful time. We were overjoyed to be able to donate 100 Twilight Rose sachets, 100 Mountain Tea Tumblers, 900 Chrysalis Tea Mugs, and 900 Sugar Tamer sachets to be included in two rounds of Hope Kits that were distributed this year.

"I was so happy to receive the HOPE Kit from National Breast Cancer Foundation! The gift really touched my heart. When I opened the box, I was overwhelmed with all of the beautiful items I found inside! I am so grateful to receive such a generous gift!" - Cheryl, HOPE Kit recipient

Bolder Boulder

This year was our first year to have the immense opportunity to be a sponsor and partner with the Bolder Boulder. This race is Boulder's biggest local celebration of fitness and community building. It has been described as "America's All-Time Best 10k" by Runner's World Magazine, and have grown their participants from 2,700 in 1979, to over 55,000 in 2019, showing that health and wellness should be at the heart of any community. We were able to provide over 50,000 customized Bolder Breakfast over-wrapped sachets to all of the participants in the Bolder Boulder.

Living Journeys

Living Journeys' core mission is to make sure that no one diagnosed with cancer has to go through it alone, whether it be through financial assistance, emotional support, or education and enrichment programs. So far they've formed over 36 free of charge support groups for anyone affected by cancer, as well as awarded over 30 grants totaling over $52,000, to help financially offset the costs of diagnosis. We were able to donate 2,500 Rise & Chai to help energize the participants to reach the peak of Mt. Crested Butte!
