The Tea Spot - Turmeric Tonic

Our founder and CEO, Maria Uspenski, was recently interviewed and quoted for an article in the March 2021 issue of Tea & Coffee Trade Journal. The article covers different functional teas and stress relieving adaptogens, as well as the reasoning behind why so many people are seeking healthier options during the pandemic.

Turmeric Tonic, one of the primary features in the article, is a hot tea right now because not only are so many people aware of the buzz-word "turmeric," but they're also clued in to its numerous health benefits. Turmeric is an adaptogenic herb, and is more accessible for the every day tea drinker because it's available in most local supermarkets and coffee shops. Similarly, Adaptogenic Chai is gaining traction right now due to growing consumer demand for functional ingredients like ashwagandha and chaga mushrooms in premium functional teas.

Tea and Coffee Trade Journal is a beverage industry publication founded in 1901 that reports on the global tea and coffee industry, from the origins, through the supply chain, and straight to your cup. Tea and Coffee Trade Journal also hosts the annual Tea & Coffee World Cup trade show.
