The full setup for making ceremonial matcha at home, plus enough matcha to settle into a routine. This bundle pairs our Essential Matcha Kit (handcrafted spouted chawan, bamboo chasen, chashaku, stainless steel sifter, whisk holder, and 2 starter sticks of ceremonial matcha) with our Ceremonial Matcha To Go Sticks 10-pack at bundle pricing.

The bundle gives you 12 total servings of ceremonial matcha alongside the full set of tools, enough for almost two weeks of daily matcha before you need to restock. It's the easiest way for a new matcha drinker to start strong, and one of our best gift sets if you're shopping for someone who's been curious about matcha but hasn't taken the leap.

Bundle and save: the kit and the 10-pack cost less together than they do separately.

Why the Bundle Makes Sense

Three reasons people choose the bundle:

Plenty of matcha to explore it properly. Twelve servings is enough for almost two weeks of daily matcha, so you can find your routine, learn what you like, and feel ready to restock without rushing.

Bundle pricing. Buying the kit and the 10-pack together costs less than buying them separately. If you were going to add matcha anyway, the bundle is the better deal.

One box, ready to give. This is one of our most thoughtful gift sets, especially for someone who's been curious about matcha but hasn't tried it at home. The kit has every tool, the sticks have plenty of matcha, and everything ships together in one package.

Make Your First Bowl of Matcha

Once the bundle arrives, you can make a proper bowl of matcha in under five minutes:

  1. Sift one stick (or about two chashaku scoops, 1 to 1.5g) of matcha into your chawan.

  2. Add about 2 oz of hot water at 175°F (80°C). Skip boiling water, which makes matcha bitter!

  3. Whisk briskly with the chasen in a quick W or M motion until a fine layer of foam forms.

  4. Drink straight from the bowl, or pour from the spout into a cup.

  5. Rinse the chasen in warm water (no soap), reshape the tines, and rest it on the holder so it dries in shape.

For a matcha latte: whisk a stick of matcha in your chawan with 2 oz of 175°F water, then pour over steamed milk for a hot latte, or over milk and ice for an iced latte. For a quick iced matcha on the go: drop a stick into a water bottle, fill with cold water, cap, and shake.

When You Run Low

FAQ

Is this a good gift? Yes, especially for someone curious about matcha who doesn't already own the tools. The kit covers everything they need to make a proper bowl of matcha or matcha latte, and the 10 sticks give them plenty of matcha to actually settle in.

How many servings of matcha do I get? Twelve total: two 1.5g sticks included with the kit, plus the ten 1.5g sticks in the to-go pack.

Do I have to use the sticks at home, or can I take them on the go? Either. The sticks brew beautifully in the chawan with the included tools. They also dissolve cleanly into a water bottle with cold water for matcha on the go. Many people use them both ways.

What grade of matcha is included? All twelve sticks are ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha, stone-milled in Japan from leaves grown in Shizuoka and Kagoshima prefectures.
