Tea's your Dry January with Fancy Dry Mocktails

At The Tea Spot, we love mixology, and of course, we love our teas, so we’ve come up with some amazing, satisfying, and totally mocktail recipes. Best of all, they’re totally easy to DIY, will wow your palate and your guests, and are easier on the wallet and the without the booze. These are perfect for dry January, or if you just want a refreshing adult drink that doesn’t skimp on the pomp but offers a break from alcohol.

Golden Grapefruit Bliss

Yields two 12-oz mocktails

Ingredients

  • 6 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (about 1 grapefruit)
  • 4 oz Turmeric Tonic concentrate, cooled. To prepare: Steep 1 tsp (or 1 sachet) Turmeric Tonic tea in 5 oz water at boiling temp for 6-8 minutes. You may optionally add 1/2 tsp agave or honey, to sweeten. Strain and let cool.
  • 8 oz sparkling water (chilled)
  • Ice
  • Grapefruit slice for garnish, and rock salt for rim (optional)

Instructions

If you choose to have a salted rim: run a grapefruit slice along the top rim of cocktail glasses and dip in salt. Combine grapefruit juice and cooled tea concentrate with ice in a cocktail shaker, and shake vigorously. Strain into the rimmed 12-oz glasses. Top off with sparkling water and ice.

White Jasmine Mock Mojito

Yields two 12-oz mocktails

Ingredients

  • 4 Blackberries
  • 4 oz White Jasmine Silver Needles concentrate, cooled. To prepare: Steep 2 tsp White Jasmine Silver Needles tea in 6 oz water at 180 F for 3 minutes. You may optionally add 1 tsp honey, to sweeten. Strain and let cool.
  • 8 oz sparkling water (chilled)
  • 2 Sprigs Rosemary
  • Ice

Instructions

Lightly muddle 2 blackberries in each cocktail glass. Add 2 oz White Jasmine Silver Needles concentrate to each glass. Top off with sparkling water and ice. Rub each rosemary sprig between your hands to release aroma, and add one to each glass.
